Tuesday marked 4 years of Martial Bliss
We've been married 4 years!! Woohoo!
I'm so lucky to have such a wonderful and fun husband. He's so cute when he wakes up in the morning with his hair going in every direction. I can always tell how he slept just by looking at him.
July was a busy busy busy month of moving, weddings, and also a family reunion in Idaho, but on our way back from the Cabin, we spent to night in Casper Wyoming and Celebrated our anniversary right with a steak dinner during a torrential down pour. :) {i had to look up the spelling for "torrential" but now it makes sense how to spell it}
I love thinking about the fun adventures we've had together during the span of our marriage and it makes me excited for what lies in our future.
I love you Sky. You're the bestest friend and adventure buddy I've ever had!
xoxo
{the pictures are from one of our visits to the Rocky Mountain National Park, that's literally up the street from where we live,. It's only a short drive up a beautiful and curvy canyon}

So, I said there were a lot of changes coming and this is the biggest.
We're moving to Colorado in the beginning of July.
Sky has a wonderful job and part of it is moving to the Rockies. So we're packing our bags and jumpin' east over the mountains to see what adventures a wait us there.
We're sad to say good bye to our beautiful families, friends, and home here in Utah.
We love it here so much, and so this is a little bitter sweet, but God seems to has some other plans for us.
With my sweet Skyler by my side, I know this is going to be a BIG and Fun adventure!
What's great, is Colorado isn't that Far away, which means
I'll will continue providing photography for all my wonderful clients that I love here in Utah.
I've added a new "Travel Section" to the Top of the Blog so you can see when I'll be in Utah and when we can schedule your next family or portrait session.
I will make special trips for weddings so please contact me about your wedding date by phone 801.635.6371 or email lindseybriggs@live.com
I just think of it as expanding the business into Colorado.
I've been feeling a special kinship with John Denver lately, I lovingly refer to him as Johnny- D.
"All my bags are packed,
I'm ready to go,
I'm standing here,
Outside your door,
I hate to wake you up to say Good Bye.
But the dawn is breakin', It's early morn`,
The taxi's waiting, blowin' his horn.
Already I'm so lonesome I could die."

Needed this
"Patience—the ability to put our desires on hold for a time—is a precious and rare virtue. We want what we want, and we want it now. Therefore, the very idea of patience may seem unpleasant and, at times, bitter."Nevertheless, without patience, we cannot please God; we cannot become perfect."

3 year anniversary
Yesterday we celebrate our 3 year anniversary!
I can't believe how time flies, but I also feel like I can't imagine life any other way. I am so lucky to have married my best friend and copilot. I love the life we have together, the struggles and adventures, the great triumphs and subtle stumblings, the joyous occasions and the quiet moments. Skyler makes me laugh everyday. Giggles abound in our cozy apartment. Skyler you are one of the greatest blessings Heavenly Father has sent to me. I am thankful for you everyday, even when you don't rise out your dishes. :)
I hope to get around to posting our early "anniversary" trip to San Diego. (any one seen Anchor man?)

Sun Dial Hike
Yeah the last post on this blog was over a year ago. OOPS! This last year has been busy and we've been having a lot of adventures, but here's a great post. (by the way I mkae no promises how often we'll post on this blog, sorry)
For Skyler's birthday, he decided that he wanted to hike up to Sun Dial, and his brother Kenz came with us. It was a very hard hike, but absolutely beautiful. It felt nice to get outside and be in the sun.
This picture is form the beginning of the hike. We were smiling and joking, little did I know the steep climb before us. :)
This is about half way up. It was really neat to see the snow and then the waterfall coming down. (By the way we hiked up past this ridge to get to the Lake)
When we reached the top we headed for the waterfall, Skyler jumped in the ice cold snow melt water. I've never heard his voice go that high. Hopefully, we still be able to have kids one day.
His Face is hilarious in this one.
The Boys hiking to our resting place, where I sleepily watched clouds drift by in the blue blue sky.
Skyler's now 27 years old, but he's still climbing mountains, having adventures, and smiling every step of the way!
On the way down, I kept thinking I can't believe we climbed this thing. We saw a snake and of course Skyler wanted to catch it and of course I freaked out like a little girl! At the bottom of all us hurt, but those slurpees really did the trick.
Skyler and I can barely move today, and I haven't talked to Kenz, but he was pretty sore yesterday too.
All in all it was a fun adventure and I loved being with Sky and Kenz out doing what they love best.
HAPYY BIRTHDAY SKY!!! I LOVE YOU!
