Mirror Lake Walk

So a couple of sundays ago it was beautiful so we grabbed Sky's dad and headed up Mirror Lake Highway. It was still pretty earlie in the season and the upper part of the highway was still closed to vehicle and people were snowmobiling in shorts and t-shirts. The water level was super high and it was flooding one of the areas we stopped to look at. As always Charlie wanted to jump in the water so we found a shallower part and in he went.

This is Sky and charlie stomping around in the ponds looking for beavers.

Sky was working with the Macro lens to capture the snake, needless to say it was a tough task, but sky got some great pictures.

Millcreek Pipe Line Hike

Well, ,you can tell summer is here, because Skyler has the hiking itch and on tuesday we scratched it. We took charlie up Millcreek canyon and went for a hike on the Pipeline trail. We originally planned going on a different hike, but the trail was closed becuase there was still snow. It was a beautiful day not too hot with a slight breeze.  And the top had a beautiful view.

This is my lame attempt at hiding! I guess I forgot I had a huge old back pack on DUH!

This is the cutest picture of my boys!

Charlie got tired by the end of th hike. Sky scoped him up and carried him for a little bit. Charlie just relaxed over skyler's shoulder with his tongue hanging out. IT was the cutest things! Charlie was in Heaven. It doesn't get much better than that for a dog.

Our Trip to Zions

After we both finished with school, we just had to get out of town, so we went camping down in zion. It was really fun and relaxing. Both of us needed to decompress and just get out in some open space. I loved being with skyler. He's really in his element when we go camping and I'm... well I'm working on it. :)

We took charlie with us, but he's only allowed on one hike in the entire park, so we took him on that sunday night. He loved it and jumped right into the rushing virgin river. He played in the freezing water and was a little sad we we finally pulled him out.

The next day we dropped him off at the Doggy Dude Ranch right outside the park and believe me he had a blast.  I'd recommend it to anyone. That left us free to hike all over the Park.

NO DOGS ALLOWED!

These are the crazy out of control caterpillars that stormed and invaded our tent. You could hear them falling from the trees all night long. When we were taking down the tent they were all over and they had made cocoons. It was such a hassle trying to get them out all the crooks and crannies.
Our cute little family at the dixie red cliffs.
What's Charlie Doing?
Oops there goes Sky's lens cap.
Charlie's ear and my hair look alike. YIKES
MY BOYS!
Charlie loved swimming in the deep canyon pools almost as much as Skyler did. Sky said i couldn't post any pictures with his nipples, so I made him a shirt. :)
Swimmin' Skyler, if it ain't murky it ain't fun.

The Lochness monster emerges!
